Professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Marketing, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, Vice President of the Marketing Research Association of Chinese Colleges and Universities and Director of the Enterprise Committee, Vice Chairman of the Marketing Professional Committee of the China Management Modernization Research Association, Executive Deputy Director of the China Enterprise Research Center of Tsinghua School of Economics and Management. His main research areas are marketing and business management. In 2000, he obtained a doctorate in the Department of Economics of Kyoto University in Japan, a master's degree in management engineering from the School of Management of Zhejiang University in 1988, and a bachelor's degree from Huazhong Institute of Technology in 1985. He went to Harvard Business School in the United States, HEC Higher School of Business in France, Kyoto University in Japan and Kagoshima International University for academic exchanges and visits.
In recent years, as the project leader, Professor Hu Zuohao has presided over eight projects from national ministries and commissions, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and major projects of the Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Base of the Ministry of Education; in addition, he has also presided over a number of large-scale management research and consulting projects commissioned by companies including the world's top 500 companies. Including China Mobile Communications Corporation, China Railway Third Bureau Group Corporation, Shunte Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Group (MHI).
